You have the essence of love

You have the essence of love

You have the essence of love inside you, fully present and formless.    You do not need someone else to reflect love to you; you can experience it directly from the Soul.

– John-Roger with Paul Kaye   (From: What’s It Like Being You?, p.  158)

Ah, the essence of love—this wonderful “energy” that’s already within you, no instructions or fancy packaging required. It’s like an invisible treasure you carry around all the time, but one you often forget to look for because you’re too busy wondering why TV hasn’t given us a “perfect show” yet.

You don’t need to rely on anyone else to see this light. Seriously, why wait for someone to tell you, *“You’re worthy of love”* when your soul is already shouting it at you? It’s like waiting for a compliment when your mirror is right there saying, *“Look at you—you’re awesome.”* Your soul is that inner mirror, your 24/7 essence, free of judgment and weird lighting angles.

Of course, sharing love with others is beautiful. But this reminds us of an essential truth: the love you’re searching for is already there, deep inside you. No external “reflector” needed. Imagine this—you’re a self-sustaining fountain of love, with an unlimited and constant flow. If that’s not a gift, I don’t know what is!

So, instead of waiting for a sign, dive straight into this inner love. Taste it, dance with it, sing it a serenade (or just hum, if singing isn’t your thing). Because, at the end of the day, your soul already knows everything about you—your strengths, your quirks, your little habits. And despite all that—or maybe *because* of all that—it loves you deeply. No conditions, no mirror required. Just because you’re you.
