The hardest thing that we come against

The hardest thing that we come against

November 11, 2024

The hardest thing that we come against is loving each other.  Jesus said it this way: “When you’ve done it to the least one of these, you’ve done it unto me”  (Matthew 25:40).

A lot of people never could figure out what that really meant, but you can understand it once you realize that God is in His creation as God, and we are manifestations of creation.  And if God is omniscient, there are no secrets.

Don’t even try to pretend there are.  If you do, you are going to waste and deviate your time away from keeping your eyes on the oneness.    When you start to live in the oneness, you start to lift in consciousness.

Love, in its truest sense, challenges us to see beyond our own egos, preferences, and judgments. Jesus’ words, “When you’ve done it to the least one of these, you’ve done it unto me” (Matthew 25:40), suggest that acts of compassion and love toward others, especially those who are marginalized or struggling, are acts of devotion to God. This teaching emphasizes that God is present in each person, making our interactions with others sacred opportunities to connect with the divine.

Recognizing “God in His creation as God” means understanding that we are all part of something greater — interconnected pieces of a divine whole. If we view ourselves as expressions of this oneness, we can begin to dissolve the illusion of separateness. Attempting to hide or keep secrets, as the passage suggests, is futile in the light of an omniscient presence. Instead, embracing openness and unity fosters higher consciousness. Living “in the oneness” requires mindful awareness and a commitment to kindness, which lifts our consciousness, helping us to perceive the divinity within all and to act with greater love and humility.

This teaching illustrates the interconnectedness between divine love and human relationships, suggesting that our treatment of others is a direct expression of our spiritual values and connection to the divine.

God’s presence permeates all aspects of existence. By recognizing that each person is a manifestation of creation, we come to see others as part of a greater, divine oneness. This understanding challenges us to treat everyone with the same respect and love we would offer to God. It reminds us that our actions towards others are not just personal choices but reflections of our spiritual consciousness.

The tendency to hide or keep secrets, leads us away from “keeping your eyes on the oneness.” This idea underscores the importance of living authentically, as attempting to separate ourselves from others or to mask our true selves only disrupts our spiritual journey. When we “live in the oneness,” we lift our consciousness, experiencing a deeper sense of peace and unity. By embracing this oneness, we are guided toward a life of love and higher awareness, aligning ourselves more closely with divine purpose.
